Write, edit, and send a proposal
Blank form to branded PDF, start to finish. Once your profile is saved this takes about five minutes a job.
1. Pick the trade
Click New proposal and choose the trade: ADU, roof, deck, flooring, or remodel. The trade changes the questions you get asked and the language in the finished proposal, so pick the closest one rather than defaulting to the first.
2. Fill in the job
Fill in what you know. Customer name, address, the scope, the price. The more you give it, the less it has to work around.
The address field matters more than it looks. It sets the city and state the proposal talks about. Leave it thin and the writing can drift toward whatever location it saw in your writing sample.
On roof, deck, flooring, and ADU jobs you can offer Good, Better, Best options instead of a single price. Fill in two or three tiers and the proposal lays them out side by side for the customer to choose from.
3. Generate
Hit Generate and give it a few seconds. You get a full proposal: a cover note, scope of work, what is included and what is not, the investment summary, and your terms.
The math is not written by AI. Totals, deposits, and payment schedules are all calculated in code and handed to the writer as finished numbers. The AI chooses the words. It never chooses a figure.
4. Edit anything you want
Three ways to change what came out:
- Edit in place. Click into any section and type. This is the fastest fix for a wrong detail or a line you would never say.
- Regenerate. Rewrites one section from scratch. Use it when a section missed the point entirely rather than got a word wrong.
- Tighten. Same content, fewer words. Good for a cover note that rambles.
Your edits save as you go. There is no separate save button.
5. Read it before you send it
This one is not optional. Proposals go out under your license and your signature, so give it the same once-over you would give something you typed yourself. Check:
- Customer name and address are right
- The scope matches what you actually quoted
- Nothing is promised that you did not price, like a permit or a haul-away
- The total is the number you meant
- Dates, warranty period, and payment terms read correctly
It is a fast read, and it is the difference between a tool that saves you four hours and one that costs you a callback.
6. Export the PDF
Hit Export PDF. You get a clean, branded document with your logo in the header, ready to email or print. Nothing in it says Proposal Ready. It is your document.
Finding it again
Every proposal you generate is saved under My proposals. Open an old one to re-read it, edit it, or export a fresh PDF. Nothing expires.
Next
If you have the quoting tools turned on, the next step is setting your price table so the app can build the numbers for you instead of you typing a total. Guides for that are coming shortly.
