Set up your company profile
This is the first thing to do and it takes about two minutes. Everything else in the app reads from it, so a proposal written before you save it will come out missing your name and your logo.
Where to find it
Sign in, then click Profile in the top menu. Fill it in and hit save. That is the whole job.
What each field actually does
- Business name appears in the proposal header, in the terms, and on every page of the exported PDF.
- Owner name is who the proposal is signed by.
- License number prints in the terms section. Homeowners look for it, and in most states you are required to show it on a bid.
- Phone and email are how the customer replies. They sit in the header next to your business name.
- Logo goes top-left on the first page of the PDF. A plain PNG or JPG is fine. If you do not upload one, the proposal still works, it just leads with your business name instead.
- Warranty period is optional and worth doing. See below.
The warranty field is worth thirty seconds
Every proposal has a workmanship warranty clause in the terms. If you leave this field blank, that clause comes out with a blank for you to fill in by hand, every single time.
Put your standard period in once, something like 2 years, and it fills itself in from then on. You can still override it on an individual job when the work calls for something different.
Why we make you type it instead of guessing. A warranty is a promise you are legally on the hook for. The app will never invent one for you, so a blank field stays blank rather than quietly committing you to a year of free callbacks.
A good logo file
Anything you already use on a business card will work. Two things help:
- A transparent PNG sits cleanly on the white page. A JPG with a white box around it will show that box.
- Wider than it is tall reads better in a document header. A tall square logo gets scaled down small to fit.
You can swap it any time. Changing your logo does not touch proposals you already exported.
Your information stays yours
Your profile is visible only to you. It is not shared with other contractors, it is not sold, and it is not used to train any AI model. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
